The Whangarei Milk Delivery Notice 1942.

Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Whangarei Milk Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.
  4. The Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, published in the Gazette on the 21st day of August, 1941, at page 2625, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

THE WHANGAREI MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,

"The district" means the Borough of Whangarei as indicated by zones marked on the plan :
"The plan" means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3349 :
"Minister" means the Minister of Transport :
"Zone" means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.

(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members:

(a) Two members to be appointed by the Whangarei Borough Council :
(b) One member to be appointed by the Whangarei Milk-vendors' Association :
(c) The Zoning Officer for North Island.

(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.

(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.

(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.

(6) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:

W. H. Phillips, Maunu Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 1 on the plan and in the Open Zone.
J. E. Henderson, Kamo Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 2 on the plan and in the Open Zone.
E. Sothern and Co., Ltd., Kamo Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 3 on the plan and in the Open Zone.
R. E. Meynell, Bank Street, Whangarei In the zone numbered 4 on the plan and in the Open Zone.
Mrs. W. R. Fricker, Water Street, Whangarei In the zone numbered 5 on the plan and in the Open Zone.
C. R. Hilton, Maunu Road, Whangarei In the zone numbered 6 on the plan and in the Open Zone.
A. Main, Kamo Road, Whangarei Those seventeen customers taking approximately 220 pints of milk each week served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940 (or an equivalent thereto), within the zone numbered 1.
W. E. H. Jackman, Park Avenue, Whangarei Those six customers taking approximately 56 pints of milk each month served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940 (or an equivalent thereto), situated within the zone numbered 2.
W. Cleary, Otangarei Road, Whangarei Those customers in Otangarei Road served by him during the week ended 9th September, 1940, situated in zone numbered 1.

G. Henry, Stratford In the zone numbered 4 and coloured brown on the plan.
