Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in the Borough of Oamaru, Otago Land District, for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of November, 1941.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for public utility purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Reserve authorized to be exchanged.

SECTION 5, Block LXXXII, Town of Oamaru: Area, 1 rood, more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.

ALLOTMENTS 23, 24, and part 25, D.P. 2447, being part Section 7, Block I, Oamaru Survey District: Area, 2 roods 16 perches, more or less.

As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/1/397b, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Johnston’s Hill Domain.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of November, 1941.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The Wellington City Council

to be the Johnston’s Hill Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the City Council Office, Wellington, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

JOHNSTON’S HILL DOMAIN.—WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 66 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being all the land in D.P. 12348, being parts of Sections 35 and 37, Karori District, situated in Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 488, folio 4, Wellington Registry.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

John Falla Davie,
Charles Edward Evans,
Frederick John Evans,
John Fargher,
Kenneth Robert Hislop,
James Reid,
Charles Henry Schnell, and
Walton Thomas White

to be the Rongomai Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Rongomai Schoolroom, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Changing the Purpose of the Reservation over Portion of the Conway Domain, Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of November, 1941.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS a notice of intention to issue an Order in Council declaring that the portion of the Conway Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and shall be deemed to be a reserve for a site for an aerodrome was published in the Gazette of the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one:

And whereas such notice of intention was duly laid before both Houses of Parliament in accordance with the provisions of subsection two of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives, by resolutions dated respectively the ninth day of October and the eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, approved the proposed change of purpose as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection one of section forty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the portion of the Conway Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be a reserve for a site for an aerodrome subject to Part I of the said Act.
