CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 15·5 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 2026, situated in Block VII, Spaxton Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern side of Ashburton Road, the said point being distant 395·57 links south-westerly on a bearing 181° 31′ 30″ from the south-eastern corner of the junction of the said Ashburton Road with the Alford Forest Road; thence south-easterly on a bearing of 135° 28′ 20″, a distance of 213·92 links; thence south-westerly on a bearing of 181° 31′ 30″, a distance of 151·01 links; thence north-westerly on a bearing of 271° 31′ 30″, a distance of 154·02 links, to the said eastern side of Ashburton Road; thence north-easterly along that road on a bearing of 1° 31′ 30″, a distance of 299·47 links, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/479A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland, Gisborne, and Southland Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which is in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland, Gisborne, and Southland Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement, 32 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks IV, Titirangi Survey District, and 1, Otahuhu Survey District, being Lot 1 on D.P. 20583, being part Lot 17, Allotment 53, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, being part of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 698, folio 33, Auckland Registry. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/392D, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Recreation purposes.)

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods 4 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on D.P. 3545, and being part of Section 99, Patutahi Rural, Block VII, Patutahi Survey District, and being all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 91, folio 155, Gisborne Registry. (Plantation purposes.)

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 36·09 perches, more or less, being part Section 242, Block XXI, Hokonui Survey District, commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of the Waimea Plains Railway Reserve in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 13, Town of Balfour; thence in a north-westerly direction along a public road on a bearing of 300°, a distance of 300·75 links; thence in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 30°, a distance of 75·0 links; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 120°, a distance of 300·75 links; thence in a south-westerly direction on a bearing of 210°, a distance of 75·0 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/3/476A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
