Directing the Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1928,
in the Borough of Mosgiel.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of November, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 16 perches.
Being part of Lot 4, Block IV, on Deposited Plan 471, Township of West Mosgiel, being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 119, folio 22, together with a right of way over part Lot 3, created by Transfer No. 29721, Otago Registry.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 112097, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Officers authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Officer authorized to convene Courts-Martial, to confirm the Findings and Sentences thereof, and to Delegate such Powers.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen, Defence Amendment Act, 1912, and Regulation 5, Amendment No. 2, of the Expeditionary Force Emergency Regulations 1940, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the undermentioned officer to convene general or district Courts-Martial, to confirm the findings and sentences thereof, and to delegate this authority to any officer under his command not below the degree of a field-officer:—

Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Colonel) Ronald Stuart Park, Royal New Zealand Artillery, Officer Commanding United Kingdom Section, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of November, 1941.

Lands permanently reserved in the Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrant dated the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes in the Schedule of the said Warrant specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be permanently reserved for which purposes the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 38·98 perches, more or less, being Lot 6, D.P. 2575, and part Subdivision E of the Heretaunga Block, Borough of Hastings. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/99A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet. All that area containing by admeasurement 3·68 perches, more or less, being part of Block 46, Patangata Crown Grant District, Borough of Waipawa, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/469A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow. GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being part of Section 2, Block IV, Hangaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the south generally by a public road 279° 54′, 582·0 links, and 275° 34′ 30″, 349·4 links; on the west and north by other part Section 2, 16° 58′ 30″, 380·0 links, and 96° 57′, 671·56 links; and on the east by a public road 160° 58′ 20″, 440·2 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/15818A, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 4055.) WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 19·45 perches, more or less, being part Section 108, Porirua District, Block II, Belmont Survey District, bounded: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of the main road, distant 72 links from the right bank of Porirua Stream, as delineated on Survey Office Plan 19623, in a north-easterly direction along the main road, 76 links; thence along right lines bearing 135° 19′, distance 160·03 links; bearing 226° 23′ 30″, distance 76 links; and bearing 315° 19′, distance 160·03 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid admeasurements a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/471A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All that area containing by admeasurement 32·2 perches, being part Block XXVII on Deposited Plan 42, and being part Subdivision A of Manchester Block, Block V, Oroua Survey District, bounded: Towards the north-west and north-east by Stanway Road and Willoughby Street, 100·2 links and 200·92 links respectively, and towards the south-east and south-west by other part of Block XXVII aforesaid, 100·2 links and 200·92 links respectively: be the aforesaid
