A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one of section eight of the Housing Amendment Act, 1940, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act, 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 0·92 perches, more or less, being Lot 20, on Survey Office plan 20128, and being part of Section 26, Hutt District, City of Lower Hutt. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 1/754/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of November, 1941.

Land set apart as an Addition to a Public Domain.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the Pukaki Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said Pukaki Domain.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

RESERVE 4444 (formerly closed road), Block XV, Pukaki West Survey District: Area, 3 roods 12·6 perches, more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—PUKAKI DOMAIN.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 169 acres 1 rood 28·9 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 3702, Block XV, Pukaki West Survey District, and Block III, Strachey Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Rural Section 36863, the abutment of a public road, and Reserve 4211, 2883·8 links; towards the north-east by a road reserve along the southern shore of Lake Pukaki; towards the south by the road forming the northern boundary of part Reserve 183; again towards the north-east by the abutment of a public road and by the said part Reserve 183; towards the south-east by Reserve 4038, 1996·3 links; towards the south-west by the said Reserve 4038, the abutment of a public road, and Rural Section 37401, 4001·0 links; towards the north generally by Reserve 4444, 102·3 links, 143·85 links, 119·85 links, 201·15 links; again towards the south generally by the said Reserve 4444, 478·65 links and 157·7 links; again towards the south-west by Rural Section 36863, 2523·7 links: save and except legal roads intersecting the above-described land, due allowance for which has been made in the area. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5350B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, Westland County, containing 334 acres, more or less, being Section 2447 and part of Section 2446, situated in Block XIV, Bruce Bay Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 2447, Block XIV, Bruce Bay Survey District, and proceeding along the south-western boundary of that section to the Main South Road, bearing 309° 35′ for 4116·2 links; thence along the south-eastern side of the said Main South Road, bearing 65° 59′ for 888·1 links; thence by a right line across the said Main South Road, bearing 328° 38′ for 151·2 links; thence along the north-western side of the said Main South Road, bearing 245° 59′ for 213·0 links; thence along the northern side of Condon Road, bearing 284° 04′ for 2498·3 links; thence by a line bearing 25° 22′ 30″ for 5099·0 links to the northern boundary of Section 2446; thence along the northern boundary of Sections 2446 and 2447, the abutment of a road, and again along the northern boundary of Section 2447, bearing 104° 04′ for 5547·2 links; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 2447, bearing 200° 00′ for 7334·0 links, to the point of commencement: excluding therefrom that portion of the Main South Road intersecting the said Section 2447. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 138/16, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of November, 1941.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Westland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 17 acres 3 roods 36 perches, more or less, being portion of Reserve 1449, Block II, Brunner Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the southern boundary of the Midland Railway, distant 139·7 links west from the junction of that boundary with the right bank of Deep Creek; thence by right lines bearing 261° 10′ for 756·7 links, 278° 29′ for 2427·8 links, 302° 00′ for 716·8 links, 322° 45′ for 763·9 links to the northern boundary of Reserve 1449; thence along that boundary bearing 106° 14′ 30″ for 2768·9 links to the southern boundary of the Midland Railway; thence along that boundary bearing 106° 16′ for 1625·9 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 604B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. plan 4223.)
