Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Woodbury Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of November, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Harold James Wooding,
William Tait,
Herbert Cooling,
Michael Studholme Barker,
Richard James Gordon Cain,
Athol Ernest Webb, and
George Henry Keen

to be the Woodbury Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Woodbury Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

WOODBURY DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 126 acres 0 roods 28 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1544, situate in Block VII, Orari Survey District, and Block I, Geraldine Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east generally by Rural Sections 3609, 15590, and 15892, 3318-8 links and 3688-9 links respectively; again towards the north-east by Rural Section 15892, 4007-1 links; towards the south-east by a road-line, 430-5 links; towards the south-west by a road-line, 6259-7 links; towards the north-west by Rural Section 17116, 3547 links, to the point of commencement: save and except therefrom Reserve 2828 and a public road along the north-west boundary of said reserve: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1254/18a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Restricting the Grant and Disposal of Mining Privileges over certain Lands in the Westland Land District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of October, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section thirty-four of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that from and after the date hereof, no mining privileges shall be granted or transferred in respect of the lands described in the Schedule hereto without the previous written consent of the Minister of Mines.

The Northern Side of Portion of Lees Road, in the City of Christchurch, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of November, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, viz.:—

“The Christchurch City Council having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, hereby by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the northern side of the portion of Lees Road adjoining the land comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 61, folio 112, and Volume 92, folio 294, being Lot 25 and part Lot 26, D.P. 427, R.S. 2382 ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the portion of Lees Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

The northern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Lees Road, fronting parts Lots 25 and 26, D.P. 427, part Rural Section 2382. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 112536, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting Reclaimed Land in the Waiarohia Stream, in Whangarei Harbour, in the Whangarei Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of October, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section twenty-three of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1933 (hereinafter called the “said Act”), that the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Order in Council, vest in any local authority or Harbour Board any area of land not exceeding five acres in extent which has, pursuant to section one hundred and sixty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, been authorized to be reclaimed:

And whereas the Whangarei Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) was, by Order in Council dated the tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the Gazette on the thirteenth day of the same month at page 733, authorized to reclaim certain land from the old bed of the Waiarohia Stream, in Whangarei Harbour, as shown on the approved plan marked M.D. 7128, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington:

And whereas the said land, as shown coloured red on the said plan M.D. 7128, has been reclaimed and it is desirable that the said land should be vested in the Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby vest in the Board all that land reclaimed from the old bed of the Waiarohia Stream, shown marked in red on plan M.D. 7128, such vesting in the Board to date from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one.
