SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Kairanga County—

ALL that portion of the Milsons Line Main Highway No. 513, extending from the boundary of Palmerston North City at Boundary Road to a line across the said main highway at a distance of 14 chains measured in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of the said main highway from its intersection with the north-western boundary of Montreal Street.

Declaring area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.


IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.


SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County—

That portion of the Waimamaku-Ohaewai Main Highway No. 484, commencing at the eastern boundary of Kaikohe Town District as now constituted, and terminating at a point 14 chains measured in a north-easterly direction along the centre of the road from the said boundary.

Revoking Warrants Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.


IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant dated the 23rd day of November, 1938, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 84 of the 24th day of November, 1938, at page 2427, which refers to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 28th day of December, 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 2 of the 18th day of January, 1940, which refers to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.


SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within the Makara and Hutt Counties—

All that area at Paremata consisting of—

(1) That portion of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial Main Highway No. 34, commencing at a point 20 chains measured along the centre of the road generally in a south-westerly direction from a point opposite the Paremata Post-office and terminating at a point 40 chains measured along the centre of the road generally in a northerly direction from the southern end of the bridge across the Porirua Harbour;

(2) That portion of the Haywards-Paremata via Pahautanui Main Highway No. 574, commencing at a point 18 chains measured along the centre of the road generally in a south-easterly direction from the intersection of the centre-line of the said main highway and the centre-line of Seaview Road at Golden Gate and terminating at the end of the said main highway at Paremata;

(3) Seaview Road and Bayview Road, Golden Gate.

Classification of Roads in Westland County.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicles Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrants described in the First Schedule hereto in so far as they relate to the classification of roads in the Westland County, and doth hereby declare that the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto and situated in the Westland County shall belong to the class of roads shown in the Second Schedule hereto, and doth hereby approve of the Westland County Council’s proposed classification of roads as described in the Third Schedule hereto, and situated in the Westland County.
