Whenuapai Aerodrome.
In the matter of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1935,
and in the matter of the Whenuapai Aerodrome in the
North Auckland Land District.
WHEREAS it has been agreed between George Andersen,
of Whenuapai, Farmer, and the Minister of Public
Works that a certain sum of money shall be paid as com-
pensation in respect of the limitation of the height to which
buildings, poles, masts, or other structures of any kind may
be erected, placed, or extended, or to which trees or shrubs
may be grown or allowed to grow on the land described in
the Schedule hereto on and after the fifteenth day of March,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-one :
Now, therefore, I, Hubert Thomas Armstrong, the Minister
of Public Works, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
vested in me by section four of the Public Works Amendment
Act, 1935, do hereby give notice that for the purpose of making
the Whenuapai Aerodrome safe for aviation purposes, I
prohibit the erection, placing, or extension without my
consent of any building, pole, mast, or other structure of
any kind and the growing of trees or shrubs of any kind on
the land described in the Schedule hereto beyond a height of
five feet above the level of the ground on the boundary of the
said aerodrome nearest that portion of the said land upon
which any building, pole, mast, or other structure is proposed
to be erected, placed, or constructed, or upon which any
tree or shrub is proposed to be grown or is allowed to grow
increased by one-fortieth part of the distance measured on
a horizontal plane between the said boundary and the said
portion of the said land.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land containing approximately 44 acres
3 roods 10 perches, situated in the North Auckland Land
District, being parts Lot 7, D.P. 9146, being part Allotment 3,
Waipareira Parish, Block VI, Waitemata Survey District,
comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 371,
flio 297, Auckland Registry, such land being shown by a
blue border on the plan marked P.W.D. 112260, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regu-
lation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they
relate to drivers of motor-omnibuses, shall not apply to Jack
Patullo Burn, of Nelson.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth
hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1)
of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so
far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not
apply to Ian Harvey Bond, of Carterton.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth
hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1)
of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so
far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not
apply to Charles John Ralston, of Wallacetown.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare
the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely
populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the
intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road,
street, or other place to which the public have access therein,
shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles
an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.
SITUATED within Southland County—
All that area at Riversdale bounded by a line commencing
at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Gore-
Lumsden Main Highway 2 chains measured in a north-
westerly direction along the said boundary from its
intersection with the north-western boundary of Warwick
Street; proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction
parallel to the north-western boundary of Warwick
Street to a point 2 chains beyond the prolongation of the
north-eastern boundary of Liverpool Street; thence
in a south-easterly direction parallel to the north-eastern
boundary of Liverpool Street to the north-western
boundary of Market Square; thence in a north-easterly
and a south-easterly direction along the north-western
and north-eastern boundaries of Market Square to the
intersection of the said north-eastern boundary with
the north-western boundary of York Road; thence
in a north-easterly direction along the north-western
boundary of York Road to a point 2 chains beyond
the intersection of the said boundary with the north-
eastern boundary of Boston Street; thence in a south-
easterly direction parallel to the north-eastern boundary
of Boston Street to the prolongation of the south-eastern
boundary of Chester Street; thence in a south-westerly
direction along the said prolongation, and then along
the said south-eastern boundary of Chester Street to
its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of the
Gore-Lumsden Main Highway; thence in a south-
easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary
of the said main highway for a distance of 2 chains;
thence by a right line across the said main highway;
thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-
western boundary of the said main highway to its
intersection with the south-eastern boundary of York
Road; thence in a south-westerly direction along the
south-eastern boundary of York Road to a point 2 chains
beyond its intersection with the south-western boundary
of Hull Street; thence by a right line across York Road
and continuing in a north-westerly direction parallel
to the south-western boundary of Hull Street to a point
opposite the north-western boundary of Rutland Street;
thence in a north-easterly direction along the prolonga-
tion of the north-western boundary of Rutland Street,
and then along the said boundary of Rutland Street
to its intersection with the south-western boundary of
Berwick Street; thence in a north-westerly direction
along the south-western boundary of Berwick Street
and its prolongation to a point 2 chains beyond the
north-western boundary of Warwick Street; thence in
a north-easterly direction parallel to the north-western
boundary of Warwick Street and terminating at the
commencing point on the north-eastern boundary of
the Gore-Lumsden Main Highway; the boundaries
of the whole area being indicated by a green border on
the plan marked TT. 1667, deposited at the office of the
Transport Department at Wellington.
