THE following resolution, passed by the Hawke's Bay
County Council on the 11th day of August, 1941, is
published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2)
of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934 :—
RESOLUTION.
“That, in pursuance of section 7, subsection (1) of the
Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934, the Council of the
County of Hawke's Bay doth hereby assume responsibility
for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928,
within the said county as from the 1st October, 1941, and,
in pursuance of section 7 (3) of the Amendment Act, hereby
appoint Robert Puflett to be an Inspector for the purposes
of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, within the said County.”

THE following Special Order made by the Hawera
County Council on the 9th day of October, 1941, is
published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious
Weeds Act, 1928.
SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on
it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Hawera County
Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order,
that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being
plants mentioned in the Second Schedule to the said Act,
as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in
Council) are noxious weeds within the County of Hawera.
SCHEDULE.
- Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
- Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
- St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum or H. humifusum).
- Tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum).

Price Order No. 60.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price
Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries
and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following
Price Order :-
- This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 60.
- The maximum price at which golden syrup or treacle
manufactured by the Colonial Sugar Refining Co., Ltd., of
Auckland, may be sold by way of retail at Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Gisborne, Greymouth, Hastings, Invercargill, Napier, Nelson, New Plymouth, Oamaru, Timaru,
Wanganui, Wellington, or Westport, shall be not more than
as follows :
Golden syrup, 2 lb. tin .. 0 8
Golden syrup, 7 lb. tin .. 2 0
Treacle, 2 lb. tin .. 0 7½
Treacle, 7 lb. tin .. 1 11
Provided, firstly, that such maximum price shall be for cash
on delivery over the counter.
Provided, secondly, that where delivery is effected otherwise
than over the counter and/or the sale is subject to credit
terms, such maximum price may be increased by a sum not
exceeding ¼d. in the case of a 2 lb. tin, and 1d. in the case of a
7 lb. tin, of either golden syrup or treacle.
- The maximum price at which such golden syrup or
treacle may be sold by way of retail at any other place in
New Zealand shall be not more than the price calculated in
accordance with the provisions of clause 2 hereof increased
by ¼d. per tin for each ¼d. or part thereof by which the net
wholesale cost per tin, delivered into retailer's store and
calculated on the basis of purchase for direct delivery from
the factory of the Colonial Sugar Refining Co., Ltd., by the
cheapest freight route exceeds the following :—
Golden syrup, 2 lb. tin .. 0 6¼
Golden syrup, 7 lb. tin .. 1 9
Treacle, 2 lb. tin .. 0 6
Treacle, 7 lb. tin .. 1 7½
