The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 73, dated 4th September, 1941, relative to Lieutenant H. P. Ahrens, is hereby cancelled. Dated 16th September, 1941.

THE RUAHINE REGIMENT.

Lieutenant H. P. Ahrens, from the Reserve of Officers, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 23rd June, 1941.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

Major P. W. G. Spiers, M.B.E., M.C., V.D., 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b). Dated 18th September, 1941.

THE N.Z. SCOTTISH REGIMENT.

Lieutenant (temp.) R. R. Champtaloup, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 13th September, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) D. N. McCallum, 2nd Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 22nd March, 1941.

NATIONAL MILITARY RESERVE.

Captain A. J. Lennox, 4th Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 1st August, 1941.

Albert Gordon Fisher, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 5th Company (Thames). Dated 1st September, 1941.

N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.

Captain E. J. Stock, 3rd Composite Company, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 10. Dated 12th September, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp.) L. J. Harley, 1st Reserve Mechanical Transport Company, is granted the temporary rank of Captain, and is appointed to command the Company. Dated 1st July, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp.) N. H. Rawson is appointed Officer in Charge, Cadre, 5th Reserve Mechanical Transport Company. Dated 9th September, 1941.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Rev. A. Fear, Chaplain, 3rd Class (Baptist), resigns his commission on appointment to a commission in the Royal N.Z. Air Force. Dated 15th September, 1941.

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.

Staff Nurse V. E. Cartwright resigns her appointment. Dated 30th August, 1941.

NZ 401762 Acting Sergeant Alexander Henry HEIR is granted a temporary commission in the rank of Pilot Officer. Dated 1st October, 1941.

Promotion.

Squadron Leader George Alfred NICHOLLS (Reserve of Officers) to be Acting Wing Commander. Dated 1st October, 1941.

CORRIGENDUM.

In the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 75 of the 18th September, 1941, page 2805, under the heading “General Duties Branch, Promotion,” for “Flight Lieutenant Francis William PETRIE” substitute “Flight Lieutenant Francis William PETRE.”
