Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force Overseas.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to confirm the following appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers on active service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, vide List No. 34:—
APPOINTMENTS.
Commands and Staff.
Brigadier E. Puttick, D.S.O., A.D.C. to the King, relinquishes command of the 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade on returning to New Zealand to take up the appointment of Chief of the General Staff. Dated 6th August, 1941.
Brigadier L. M. Inglis, M.C., V.D., ceases to be detached for special duty, is appointed to command the 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, vice Brigadier E. Puttick, D.S.O., A.D.C. to the King, and remains seconded. Dated 6th August, 1941.
Lieutenant-Colonel G. B. Parkinson relinquishes command of the 4th Field Regiment, N.Z. Artillery, is appointed to command Training Group, Maadi Camp, and is seconded. Dated 9th August, 1941.
Major S. M. Satterthwaite relinquishes the appointment of second in command, 25th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Assistant Adjutant-General, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is seconded. Dated 11th August, 1941.
Major A. W. Greville, 18th (Auckland) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, 2nd N.Z. Division, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 27th July, 1941.
Major J. I. Brooke, 26th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Brigade Major, 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and remains seconded. Dated 9th August, 1941.
Major A. L. Hogg, 4th Field Regiment, N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes the appointment of Brigade Major, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Artillery, and remains seconded. Dated 4th August, 1941.
Major H. E. Gilbert, 6th Field Regiment, N.Z. Artillery, is appointed Brigade Major, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Artillery, and is seconded. Dated 4th August, 1941.
Major H. H. Thomason, M.M., 23rd (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed Duty Officer, at No. 1 N.Z. Convalescent Depot, and is seconded. Dated 1st August, 1941.
Major A. B. W. Ross, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Quartermaster-General, 2nd N.Z. Division, and remains seconded. Dated 27th July, 1941.
Major B. Barrington, 22nd (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Brigade Major, 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and remains seconded. Dated 9th August, 1941.
Captain J. D. Armstrong, 25th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Brigade Major, Training Group, Maadi Camp, and is seconded. Dated 9th August, 1941.
Captain R. H. Forder, 24th (Auckland) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Legal Staff Officer, 2nd N.Z. Division, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 7th August, 1941.
Captain F. Baker, 28th (Maori) Battalion, is appointed to command the Maori Training Company, Composite Training Depot, and is seconded. Dated 6th August, 1941.
Lieutenant C. Williams, 21st (Auckland) Battalion, is appointed Liaison Officer at Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is seconded. Dated 10th July, 1941.
Lieutenant J. E. F. Vogel, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Staff Captain, Training Group, Maadi Camp, and is seconded. Dated 9th August, 1941.
Lieutenant P. D. Hall, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Cavalry, is appointed Assistant Military Secretary, and is seconded. Dated 8th August, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant F. E. McCallum, N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Military Secretary, and remains seconded. Dated 8th August, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant S. G. A. Joll is appointed Legal Staff Officer, 2nd N.Z. Division, and remains seconded. Dated 7th August, 1941.
