GRANTS OF TEMPORARY RANK.

2nd N.Z. Divisional Cavalry.

Major A. J. Nicoll, E.D., is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while commanding the Divisional Cavalry Regiment. Dated 26th July, 1941.

N.Z. Artillery.

Lieutenant R. B. Symon is granted the temporary rank of Captain while holding the appointment of Adjutant, 14th Light Anti-aircraft Regiment. Dated 27th July, 1941.

Lieutenant W. S. Bent is granted the temporary rank of Captain to complete establishment. Dated 28th July, 1941.

Commands and Staff.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, dated 28th August, 1941, vide List No. 32, relative to Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) H. G. Carruth, E.D., is hereby cancelled and the following substituted:—
“Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) H. G. Carruth, E.D., relinquishes command of the 2nd N.Z. Divisional Cavalry Regiment, is posted to the Composite Training Depot, supernumerary to establishment, and is seconded. Dated 26th July, 1941.”
