IN pursuance of section 2 of the Child Welfare Act, 1925, I, Henry Greathead Rex Mason, Minister of Education, do hereby appoint the following person as Honorary Child Welfare Officer for the purposes of the said Act for the period ending the 31st December, 1941:—

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to confirm the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and relinquishments of temporary rank of officers on active service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, vide List No. 33:—
APPOINTMENTS.
Commands and Staff.
Lieutenant-Colonel H. G. Carruth, E.D., is appointed to command the Composite Training Depot, and remains seconded. Dated 26th July, 1941.
Major B. Barrington, 22nd (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Staff Captain, 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and remains seconded. Dated 1st August, 1941.
Major R. L. McGaffin, 27th (Machine Gun) Battalion, ceases to be detached for special duty, and is appointed second in command, Composite Training Depot, and remains seconded. Dated 29th July, 1941.
Major C. F. McAllum, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Provost Marshal, 2nd N.Z. Division, and ceases to be seconded. Dated 29th July, 1941.
Major E. R. Harford, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Cavalry, is appointed to command Divisional Cavalry Squadron, Composite Training Depot, and is seconded. Dated 26th July, 1941.
Major A. W. Greville, 18th (Auckland) Battalion, is appointed to command the Northern Infantry Training Depot, and is seconded. Dated 27th July, 1941.
Captain (temp. Major) M. S. Carrie, N.Z. Engineers, relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding, Composite Training Depot, is appointed to command the Engineer Training Depot, and remains seconded. Dated 26th July, 1941.
Captain J. McM. Elliott, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Intelligence), 2nd N.Z. Division, and remains seconded. Dated 1st August, 1941.
Captain E. W. Hayton, 19th (Wellington) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Provost Marshal, 2nd N.Z. Division, in addition to his present appointment as Officer Commanding Provost Company, 2nd N.Z. Division, and remains seconded. Dated 29th July, 1941.
Captain D. B. Cameron, 20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade, Headquarters, Maadi Camp, and is seconded. Dated 1st August, 1941.
Captain J. L. Grant, 27th (Machine Gun) Battalion, is appointed to command the Machine Gun Company, Composite Training Depot, and is seconded. Dated 29th July, 1941.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. M. Bell, 2nd N.Z. Divisional Cavalry, relinquishes the appointment of Intelligence Officer, 2nd N.Z. Division, is appointed General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade, 2nd N.Z. Division, and remains seconded. Dated 1st August, 1941.
Lieutenant G. C. Weston, 26th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed Staff Captain, 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, and is seconded. Dated 1st August, 1941.
Lieutenant F. M. Ollivier, 26th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is appointed to command the 6th N.Z. Infantry Brigade Headquarters Defensive Platoon, and is seconded. Dated 23rd July, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) A. T. Gillum, 21st (Auckland) Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Deputy Assistant Provost Marshal, Maadi Camp, on being placed on the New Zealand Roll. Dated 28th July, 1941.
Lieutenant G. S. Roydhouse, 27th (Machine Gun) Battalion, is appointed Deputy Assistant Provost Marshal, Maadi Camp, vice 2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) A. T. Gillum, placed on New Zealand Roll, and is seconded. Dated 28th July, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant G. S. Cox, Southern Infantry Training Depot, is appointed Intelligence Officer, 2nd N.Z. Division, and is seconded. Dated 4th August, 1941.
