Brian Ellis McPherson, Naval Cadet, promoted to the rank of Midshipman, to date 1st September, 1941.

Ronald Barclay Waddell, Esquire, B.Sc., entered as Probationary Temporary Schoolmaster, to date 21st July, 1941, and appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for course in Australia, to date 21st July, 1941.

ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE (NEW ZEALAND).

Lieutenant-Commander Norman Leggatt Mackie appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for passage to the United Kingdom, to date 25th August, 1941.

Lieutenant-Commander James Arthur Alick Hamlyn appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for H.M.S. “Wakakura” in command, vice MacMillan, to date 20th August, 1941.

Temporary Acting Lieutenant-Commander William MacMillan (T. 124), appointed H.M.S. “Matai” additional, for H.M.S. “Rata” in command, vice Mackie, to date 20th August, 1941.

Temporary Lieutenant Wilfred Daniel Drake appointed H.M.S. “Matai,” vice Dunnet, to date 25th August, 1941.

Temporary Lieutenant John Fitzpatrick (T. 124), appointed H.M.S. “Gale” as First Lieutenant, temporary, to date 17th August, 1941.

Temporary Acting Lieutenant-Commander (E) William Martin Innes (T. 124), H.M.S. “Rata,” appointment under T. 124 Agreement terminated at own request and discharged to shore, to date 18th August, 1941.

Edward Carlyon Vellenoweth, Esquire, appointed Honorary Temporary Lieutenant, with seniority of 10th July, 1940.

Lieutenant Henry Alfred Dunnet appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for passage to the United Kingdom, to date 25th August, 1941.

Temporary Lieutenant Frederick Roy Linfield lent New Zealand Naval Forces, to date 11th June, 1941, and appointed H.M.S. “Leander,” to date 11th June, 1941.

ROYAL NAVAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE (NEW ZEALAND).

Lieutenant Arthur Allan Bell appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for passage to the United Kingdom, to date 17th August, 1941.

Lieutenant John Alexander Rhind appointed H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for passage to the United Kingdom, to date 25th August, 1941.

Probationary Sub-Lieutenant Graham Raymond Woods confirmed in rank with original seniority of 14th July, 1940. Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, to date 21st July, 1941.

Probationary Sub-Lieutenant David Lennox Millar confirmed in rank with original seniority of 4th September, 1939.
