Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Paymaster Captain Norman Hugh Beall, O.B.E., R.N., being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Naval Secretary and Member of the Naval Board at Wellington, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of September, 1941.

Setting apart Unalienated Crown Land for the Purposes of Part III (State Coal-mines) of the Coal-mines Act, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection one of section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part III of the said Act, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the gazetting hereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of unalienated Crown land in the Westland Land District containing 37 perches, more or less, being Section 2, Block XLIV, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in the Borough of Runanga. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 6/4/17, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Mines at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of September, 1941.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may then be held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 38·98 perches, more or less, being Lot 6, D.P. 2575, and part Subdivision E of the Heretaunga Block, Borough of Hastings. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/99A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet. All that area containing by admeasurement 3·68 perches, more or less, being part of Block 46, Patangata Crown Grant District, Borough of Waipawa, Block XI, Waipukurau Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/469A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow. GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being part of Section 2, Block IV, Hangaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: On the south generally by a public road 279° 54′, 582·0 links, and 275° 34′ 30″, 349·4 links; on the west and north by other part Section 2, 16° 58′ 30″, 380·0 links, and 96° 57′, 671·56 links; and on the east by a public road 160° 58′ 20″, 440·2 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/15818A, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 4055.) WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 19·45 perches, more or less, being part Section 108, Porirua District, Block II, Belmont Survey District, bounded: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of the Main Road, distant 72 links from the right bank of Porirua Stream, as delineated on Survey Office Plan 19623, in a north-easterly direction along the Main Road, 76 links; thence along right lines bearing 135° 19′, distance 160·03 links; bearing 226° 23′ 30″, distance 76 links; and bearing 315° 19′, distance 160·03 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid admeasurements a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/3/471A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. All that area containing by admeasurement 32·2 perches, being part Block XXVII on Deposited Plan 42, and being part Subdivision A of Manchester Block, Block V, Oroua Survey District, bounded: Towards the north-west and north-east by Stanway Road and Willoughby Street, 100·2 links and 200·92 links respectively, and towards the south-east and south-west by other part of Block XXVII aforesaid, 100·2 links and 200·92 links respectively: be the aforesaid admeasurements a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 6/3/472A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 15·5 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 2026, situated in Block VII, Spaxton Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern side of Ashburton Road, the said point being distant 395·57 links south-westerly on a bearing 181° 31′ 30″ from the south-eastern corner of the junction of the said Ashburton Road with the Alford Forest Road; thence south-easterly on a bearing of 135° 28′ 20″, a distance of 213·92 links; thence south-westerly on a bearing of 181° 31′ 30″, a distance of 151·01 links; thence north-westerly on a bearing of 271° 31′ 30″, a distance of 154·02 links, to the said eastern side of Ashburton Road; thence north-easterly along that road on a bearing of 1° 31′ 30″, a distance of 299·47 links, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/479A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
