EVIDENCE having been lodged with me of the loss of Outstanding Deed of Mortgage No. 136421, in the name of RALPH MILBURN GREEN, of Wellington, Settler, as mortgagee, affecting 6·3 perches, more or less, situate in the City of Wellington, being part of Section 369, Town of Wellington, and being also Lot 3 on Deeds Plan 397, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 347, folio 148 (Wellington Registry), and application having been made to register a transmission of the said mortgage to the Public Trustee as executor, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to dispense with production of the said mortgage under section 40 of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, and to register such transmission as requested after fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a new certificate of title in the name of JOHN WARD (now deceased), for part of Section 28, Block I, Invercargill Hundred, being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 19, folio 243, Southland Registry, and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I will issue the new certificate of title as requested after fourteen days from 4th September, 1941.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD AND FOR PURPOSES OF PUBLIC RECREATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rodney County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, to execute a public work—namely, the formation and widening of a public road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and, further, that the said Rodney County Council also proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to execute a further public work—namely, the acquisition and provision of lands and buildings to be used for purposes of public recreation, enjoyment, and convenience—and for the purposes of such further public work the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council at Warkworth and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Rodney County Council at its said office in Warkworth.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of MIDLAND FURNISHING CO., LTD.
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Midland Furnishing Co., Ltd., will be held on the 5th day of September, 1941, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the office of P. N. Quartermain, Public Accountant, 95 Gloucester Street, Christchurch, on Friday, the 5th day of September, 1941, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
