ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,250, authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the work for which the Municipal Buildings Additional Loan, 1938, of £12,500, was authorized, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·012 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN compliance with section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that the final meeting of creditors of the above company will be held on Monday, 22nd September, 1941, at 11 a.m., at the office of the undersigned, Bethune’s Building, Featherston Street, Wellington, when an account of the winding up will be laid before the meeting showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property disposed of.

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the above company held on 26th August, 1941, the following resolution was passed :—

“ (1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“ (2) That RAYMOND THOMAS PARKER, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Rural Housing Loan, 1941, £20,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and amendments thereto, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five sixty-fourths of a penny (5/64d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Manukau ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Frank McIntyre Waters, Chairman of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the above is a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of a meeting of the Manukau County Council held on the 19th day of August, 1941.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing between WILLIAM BOYD LINDSAY KINCAID and GEORGE ANDERSON CARR COXON, carrying on business at Lower Hutt and elsewhere under the name of “ Progressive Spray-painting Co.,” has been mutually dissolved as from the 1st day of July, 1941.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows :—

Ordinary Weekly Gazette : For the first 32 pages, 9d. increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof ; postage, 1d.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes : For the first 8 pages, 6d. ; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d. ; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof ; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS.

UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements :—

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription 30s. per annum in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 25s.

(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, 42s. per annum in advance.

(4) Separate regulations as issued.

(5) Loose-leaf binder for filing serial issues, 6s. 6d. ; postage free.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now with the Government Printer, Wellington, or at the Chief Post-offices at Auckland, Christchurch, or Dunedin.
