Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 2nd September, 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 13th October, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 15th October, 1941, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.
New Lynn Borough.—Waikomiti Parish.
ALLOTMENT 452 : Area, 32.4 perches. Capital value, £70; half-yearly rent, £1 15s.
The section is situated on Great North Road within three-quarters of a mile of the post-office, shopping centre, and railway-station; good easy building-site. Town water-supply, sewer-drainage, and electricity are available, and a regular bus service passes the property.

Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 6th October, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 8th October, 1941, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
NOTE.—This section is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Taieri County.—Maungatua Survey District.—Otago Mining District.
SECTION 41, Block I : Area, 162 acres 0 roods 19 perches. Capital value, £45; half-yearly rent, 18s.
The section is situated one mile and a quarter from Maungatua School and Rural Delivery and seven miles and a quarter from Outram Railway-station. The area comprises rough hillside in bracken, fern, and scrub, and the soil is of a poor quality resting on rock formation.
