N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.

Major T. G. Hislop, General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Training, Territorial Force), Army Headquarters, performed the duties of Brigade Major, 7th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, from 7th January, 1941, to 5th April, 1941.

Captain G. Whitham, Area Officer, Area No. 8, New Plymouth, is granted the temporary rank of Major while so employed. Dated 1st August, 1941.

Captain J. S. Hanna, N.Z. Army Legal Department, relinquishes his appointment in the N.Z. Temporary Staff and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 2nd August, 1941.

Lieutenant S. Payton, District Transport Officer, Southern Military District, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 1st August, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) V. A. Norrish, 3rd Battalion, National Military Reserve, to be Captain (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, 3rd Battalion, National Military Reserve, Christchurch. Dated 4th August, 1941.

Lieutenant L. J. Williamson, Adjutant, 1st Composite Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 15th August, 1941.

Lieutenant H. F. Goddard, Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Hauraki Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 15th August, 1941.

Lieutenant (temp.) F. P. Fawcett, The Wellington West Coast Regiment, to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Wellington West Coast Regiment, vice Lieutenant L. G. S. Cross, N.Z. Staff Corps. Dated 12th July, 1941.

D’Arcy Thomas Leonard Fleming to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Area Mechanical Transport Officer, Northern Military District. Dated 14th August, 1941.

Lieutenant L. Roberts, Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade (Weapons), Southern Military District, Christchurch. Dated 9th August, 1941.

Harold Gordon Wellborne, M.C. (late Imperial Army), to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Assistant Area Officer, No. 7 Area, Gisborne. Dated 14th August, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant D. R. Orange, Assistant Camp Supply Officer, Waiouru Military Camp, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 8th August, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant A. D. Shepherd, 3rd Reserve Mechanical Transport Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Sick and Wounded Officer, No. 10 Area, Christchurch. Dated 25th June, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) F. C. Maynard, 9th Company, National Military Reserve, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Area Quartermaster, Area No. 7, Napier. Dated 11th August, 1941.

John Alfred Pym, M.C. (late Royal Artillery) to be Major (on prob.). Dated 4th August, 1941.

Lieutenant A. D. Morris, 37th Battery, 12th Field Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 20th May, 1941.
