Also all that area containing by admeasurement 186 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Horohoro Survey District, being Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 1A Block (ordinary provisional State forest, Gazette 1920, page 2120).

As the same are delineated (for the purpose of assisting the description hereinbefore contained and not so as to govern or control the same in the event of any variance or discrepancy between such delineation and the description hereinbefore contained) on plan No. 38/57, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 29900.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of August, 1941.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, Marlborough County, containing 40 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being Section 1, Block II, Tennyson Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 104/30, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of August, 1941.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, Otorohanga County, containing 1224 acres 0 roods 6 perches, more or less, being Section 19, Block VII, and Sections 14 and 15, Block XI, Wharepapa Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 37/5, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland S.O. plans 28192, 21824.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of August, 1941.

Altering and redefining the Boundaries of the Redwood Rabbit District.—(Notice No. 3870.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:

And whereas the district known as the Redwood Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:

And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,

(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE REDWOOD RABBIT DISTRICT.

All that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing an area of 51,949 acres, more or less, bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of the Blairich River and the Awatere River in Section 12·4 of Square 39, Awatere, in Block XVII, Taylor Pass Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the Awatere Road to the Taylor Pass Road; thence along the eastern boundary of the Taylor Pass Road to the point where the Taylor River crosses the said road at Section 1, Block VIII, Taylor Pass Survey District;
