Extending the First Schedule to the Egg Marketing Regulations 1940, by including an Additional Area therein.

Pursuant to the Egg Marketing Regulations 1940, I, James Gillispie Barclay, Minister of Marketing, do hereby extend the First Schedule to the said regulations by including therein as a marketing area, to be known as the Hawke’s Bay Egg Marketing Area, the area defined in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 15th day of September, 1941.

SCHEDULE.

No. 5 Hawke’s Bay Egg Marketing Area.

All that area comprising the Borough of Napier, the Havelock North Town District, and all that area within the Borough of Hastings bounded on the north-east by Frederick Road and Grove Road; bounded on the south-east by Sylvan Road, and again bounded on the north-east by Albert Street and on the south-east by Park Road; bounded on the south-west generally by the borough boundary, and bounded on the north-east by the borough boundary to its junction with Frederick Road, and also all that portion of the Hawke’s Bay County commencing at a point where the Omahu Road meets the Hastings Borough boundary; thence in a westerly direction to a point where the said road joins Renata Street; thence following the said street in a northerly direction to meet Ikanui Street; thence following the said street in an easterly direction to a point where it meets the Hastings Borough boundary; thence in a southerly direction along the said Hastings Borough boundary to the point of commencement.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical and Related Services for Residents of the Hokianga Hospital District.

I, ARNOLD HENRY NORDMEYER, Minister of Health, hereby notify for general information that pursuant to section 82 of the Social Security Act, 1938, as extended by section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 4), 1940, I have made special arrangements with the Hokianga Hospital Board by which all persons usually resident in the Hokianga Hospital District will, on and after the 1st day of September, 1941, be entitled to receive, without charge, at the hands of medical practitioners and other officers of the Board, all such medical and surgical services, out-patient services, X-ray services, and pharmaceutical requirements as are provided as benefits in accordance with the Social Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941, the Social Security (Hospital Benefits for Out-patients) Regulations 1941, the Social Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941, and the Social Security (X-ray Diagnostic Services) Regulations 1941.

In accordance with the provisions of section 82 (2) of the Social Security Act, 1938, the general provisions of the aforementioned regulations in relation to medical benefits, hospitals benefits for out-patients, pharmaceutical supplies, and X-ray diagnostic services will not be applicable to residents of the said hospital district for the time being provided for by the special arrangements notified herein.
