Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from G. Stone, trading as the Dominion Slipper Co., 107 Crummer Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, for a license to carry on the manufacture of men’s, women’s, and children’s slippers.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 14th August, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Canterbury Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenure.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 30th July, 1941.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 3 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 15th September, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 17th September, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

Waitemata County.—Okura Parish.

ALLOTMENTS 240 and 241: Area, 10 acres 3 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £35. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £1 19s. 4d.; half-yearly rent, 14s.

Situated two miles from Silverdale at junction of Spur Road and Duck Creek Road. Access by metalled road. Section comprises rolling to steep country covered with stunted tea-tree and gorse. Soil is poor clay on limestone rubble formation. Altitude approximately 300 ft. Section is without water except by rainfall.

These sections are situated in Opuua Town, Bay of Islands, and all have metalled road access. They are covered with manuka scrub and are fairly steep, but are close to the waterfront. Each section contains a suitable bach-site.
