NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee has filed in the Supreme Court an election to administer in respect of the several estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations (so far as known) are hereunder set forth:—

Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions in respect of applications for licenses were made on the 21st July, 1941.

Paratex (1938), Ltd., King Street, Wellington For a license to engage in the manufacture for sale of footwear to the extent of manufacturing half galoshes Granted.
A. Pitkethley, 127 Parnell Road, Auckland For a license to engage in the manufacture for sale of footwear to the extent of manufacturing men’s, ladies’, and children’s sandals by the fairstitch method Declined.
K. Dowson and Co., Ltd., 455 Ferry Road, Christchurch For an extension of its existing license covering the manufacture of slippers and children’s footwear by the cemented and machine-sewn methods, so as to permit the manufacture of sandals (both men’s and women’s) Declined.
Hollywood Shoes, Ltd., Ngapuhi Chambers, Lorne Street, Auckland For an extension of its existing license covering the manufacture of sandals and slippers by the machine-sewn, fairstitch, cemented, and pumps processes, so as to permit the manufacture of evening shoes Declined.
Industrial Fishing.
G. Nicholson, 8 Benvenue Avenue, Timaru For an extension of his existing license covering the taking of fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Fern,” TU. 118, using trawl-nets, long-lines, and hand-lines, catches being landed at Timaru, so as to permit the use of Danish seine-nets Declined.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

AN application has been received from E. G. Dudley, 20 Albert Street, Nelson, for an extension of his existing license covering the taking of fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Brothers,” NN. 804, using long-lines and hand-lines, catches being landed at Nelson, so as to permit the landing of his catches at Motueka.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 14th August, 1941.

AN application has been received from E. McQuarrie and W. E. Johnston, Bluff, for a variation of their existing licenses so as to permit the taking of fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “Ruapuke,” BF. 73, and to permit the use of trawl-nets in addition to those methods for which they are already licensed.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 14th August, 1941.
