Section 1, Block III.—This is a corner section facing Rae Street and Collinson Street. If has frontages of approximately 117 ft. and 104 ft., falls from Collinson Street to the north, and commands a good view of the Waikare River.
Sections 1 and 6, Block VIII.—These are also corner sections, Section 1 fronting Rae Street and Collinson Street, and Section 6 Rae Street and De Haven Street. The respective frontages are approximately: Section 1, 135 ft. and 69 ft.; and Section 6, 144 ft. and 55 ft. Both sections fall towards the south. Section 1 commands a good view of the Waikare River, while Section 6 overlooks the Bay of Islands.
Sections 1, 2, 4, and 5, Block IX.—Section 1 is a corner section with large frontages facing on to Rae Street, De Haven Street, and Belcher Street. Sections 2, 4, and 5 each front on to De Haven Street and Belcher Street, with approximate frontages of 72 ft., 74 ft., and 83 ft. respectively. Belcher Street, however, is not metalled. These sections command a fair view of the Bay of Islands.

Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 29th July, 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 25th August, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 27th August, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and weighting for improvements.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Egmont County.—Cape Survey District.
NATIVE LAND SETTLEMENT.
(Exempt from payment of rent for five years.)*
SECTION 21, Block XIII: Area, 201 acres 0 roods 6 perches. Capital value, £450; half-yearly rent, £11 5s.
*Rental exemption is conditional upon improvements to the value of £50 being effected annually during the exemption period in addition to the improvements required by the Land Act, 1924.
Weighted with £70 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising shed, approximately 120 chains boundary fence and 60 acres clearing, including 5 acres stumping.
Situated on the Wataroa Road, three miles from Pungarehu Post-office, three miles and a quarter from Pungarehu School, sixteen miles from Opunake Railway-station, three miles from Cape Egmont Dairy-factory, and six miles from Rahotu Saleyards. Access is by metalled road. The soil is loam on clay with a few outcrops of rock; watered by streams. The land is flat, easy undulating to hilly, and nearly all ploughable, but it has been allowed to deteriorate badly and is infested with gorse, blackberry, and ragwort. When reconditioned would be suitable for dairying and sheep grazing.

Settlement Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 13th August, 1941.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 14th August, 1941, at 11 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Dannevirke County.—Norsewood Survey District.—Raumati Settlement.
SECTION 4, Block XVI: Area, 123 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £1,055; half-yearly rent, £26 7s. 6d.
Weighted with £1,263 for improvements, comprising five-roomed dwelling and washhouse, stable and loft; cow-byre, engine-room, and implement-shed; piggeries and fencing, felling, stumping, and grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £63, the balance may be paid over a period of twenty years by half-yearly instalments of £47 2s.
The land is situated on the Otanga Road about four miles from the Dannevirke Post-office, School, Railway-station, and Saleyards, and seventeen miles from the Norsewood Dairy-factory. Access is by good metalled road. The soil is medium loam resting on a clay and gravel formation; watered by a permanent stream and springs to troughs. The land, which is suitable for mixed farming, is undulating to hilly with some steep faces and broken country; access to the bottom portion is fairly difficult. There are no noxious weeds on the property, only a small portion of which is ploughable.
