Transport Legislation (Road Metal Cartage) Suspension Order 1941.

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940*, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare as follows:—

  1. This order may be cited as the Transport Legislation (Road Metal Cartage) Suspension Order 1941.

  2. The provisions of the Transport (Goods) Order 1936† are hereby suspended so far as they relate to the use or operation of any motor-vehicle of which the Whakatane County Council is the owner while it is being used to carry road metal for the formation or improvement of roads serving farmers who are engaged in the supply of milk for cheese-production.

Requisition of Land for Use in connection with the Manufacture of Cheese.—(Notice No. Ag. 3859.)

WHEREAS for the effectual exercise of the power or function conferred upon the Primary Industries Controller by the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939, to require the manufacture of cheese for the purposes of utilization, it appears to be necessary or expedient that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be requisitioned for use in connection with the manufacture of cheese:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by Regulation 4 of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 2, I, James Gillispie Barclay, Minister of Agriculture, do hereby requisition for the purpose aforesaid the land described in the said Schedule, and I do hereby authorize James John Walker, of Palmerston North, Dairy Instructor and Grader, in my name and on my behalf to enter upon and take possession of the said land for the purpose aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 8·3 perches, more or less, being part Ohau 3a, No. 2 Block, Section 2b, No. 2b, Block IV, Waiotolu Survey District, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 299, folio 188, Wellington Registry. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Ag. 57/13/305, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Agriculture at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Redefining a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.

PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, James Gillispie Barclay, Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land defined as aforesaid to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule; and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 7th day of August, 1941.

SCHEDULE.

PIKEKOHE BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.

ALL that area of land in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the point where the Mangawhera Stream enters the Waikato River; thence following the said stream in a north-westerly direction to the point where it meets the Puni–Otana Road; thence following the said road in a south-westerly direction to the junction of the said road and the Eastern Drain Road; thence following the Eastern Drain Road in a northerly direction to the point where the said road is met by the northern boundary of Section 243, Waiuku East Parish; thence continuing in a south-westerly direction along the drain forming the northern boundaries of Sections 248, 244, and 245 of the parish aforesaid, to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 230, Waiuku East Parish, Block I, Onewhero Survey District; thence northerly along that road to the north-eastern corner of Section 235, Waiuku East Parish, Block I aforesaid;
