ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Greymouth Borough Council on the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty, viz. :—

“That the Greymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of Swainson Street, in the Borough of Greymouth, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the north side of that portion of Swainson Street fronting Sections 235, 236, 237, 238, and 239, Town of Greymouth, which piece of land is shown coloured red on the plan prepared by Messrs. Parnham and Thorn, Surveyors, Greymouth ”;

the side and portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

THE northern side of all that portion of street in the Westland Land District, Borough of Greymouth, known as Swainson Street, fronting Sections 235, 236, 237, 238, and 239, Town of Greymouth. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 109953, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to Additional Land being taken for a Secondary School in the City of Wellington.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a secondary school.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 6 acres 3 roods 7·82 perches.

Being parts Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 4183, being parts Sections 7 and 8, Evans Bay District.
