THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

COMMANDS.

Major (temp.) H. P. Stewart, Queen Alexandra’s (Wellington West Coast) Mounted Rifles, is appointed to command the Regiment, vice Lieutenant-Colonel J. R. Davis, V.D., seconded to the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while so employed. Dated 17th May, 1941.

THE NELSON-MARLBOROUGH MOUNTED RIFLES.

Captain R. D. Cox, the Canterbury Regiment, is attached under the provisions of paragraph 141, Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1927. Dated 3rd July, 1941.

Lieutenant W. G. F. Pinkham, D.C.M., M.M., ceases to be attached to and is transferred to the N.Z. Corps of Signals. Dated 4th July, 1941.

N.Z. ARTILLERY.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) J. W. Eastcal, 17th Heavy Battery, 11th Heavy Regiment, resigns his commission, Dated 27th June, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) O. M. Henrici, 16th Anti-aircraft Battery, 10th Heavy Regiment, resigns his commission. Dated 1st July, 1941.

CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Douglas Anderson Tait to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 3rd Field Company, with seniority next below 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) E. Blacker. Dated 10th May, 1941.

N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.

Lieutenant W. G. F. Pinkham, D.C.M., M.M., from the Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 2nd July, 1938, and is posted to the 3rd Signals Company. Dated 4th July, 1941.

Captain (temp.) C. D. Waddell, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 2nd June, 1941.

THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. G. McK. Ewington, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 27th June, 1941.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

Captain R. D. Cox, 2nd Battalion, is attached to the Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles. Dated 3rd July, 1941.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) H. D. Livingstone ceases to be seconded to the Otago University Medical Company, N.Z.M.C., relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 3rd July, 1941.

THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.

Neil Reigh Kearns to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 1st June, 1941.

THE NEW ZEALAND SCOTTISH REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. D. Ramsay, 2nd Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 27th June, 1941.

NATIONAL MILITARY RESERVE.

Lieutenant N. T. V. Le Petit, M.C., 1st Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 23rd June, 1941.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Colin Thomas Bushby Pearson, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant, Southern Military District (unattached). Dated 20th June, 1941.

John Philip Walker, M.R.C.S. (Eng.), L.R.C.P. (Lond.), to be Lieutenant, Northern Military District, is seconded to the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 5th July, 1941.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Rev. David Roland Allen to be Chaplain, 4th Class (Presbyterian), Area 3. Dated 5th July, 1941.

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.

Staff Nurse M. E. Gilmer is granted the temporary rank of Sister while employed at the Waiouru Military Camp Hospital. Dated 1st July, 1941.
