and part Lot 11, D.P. 3770, being parts of Section 15, Hutt
District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, bounded
towards the north and west by other part Lot 3, D.P. 37,
bearing 100° 16′ 24″ distance 427·93 links, and bearing 23° 22′
distance 106·14 links to Park Road; thence towards the
north-east by Park Road, towards the south-east by Railway
land in Proclmaation 2442, and part Lot 12 on D.P. 3770,
and towards the south-west by part Section 15, Hutt District,
on D.P. 4310.
As the said areas are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 2885, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 22nd day of July, 1941.

Warrant appointing a Qualified Person to be a Representative
of the Combined Constituent District of Portion of Mount
Herbert County and Part Lyttelton Borough on the Banks
Peninsula Electric-power Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section seventeen of the Electric-power Boards Act,
1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
George Cadman Saxton, Esquire,
of Port Levy, Sheep-farmer, to be a representative on the
Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board of the combined
constituent district of portion of Mount Herbert County
and part Lyttelton Borough.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 16th day of July, 1941.

Appointments, Promotions, Transfers, and Resignations of Officers of the New Zealand Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand
Military Forces:—
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Lieutenant-Colonel C. S. White, V.D., Camp Commandant,
Mobilization Camp, Papakura, was granted the temporary
rank of Colonel while commanding the 1st N.Z. Infantry
Brigade for the periods 2nd December, 1940, to 21st
December, 1940, and 24th May, 1941, to 6th June, 1941.
Lieutenant H. P. T. Gray, D.S.O., relinquishes the appoint-
ment of Platoon Commander, Guards, Vital Points,
Northern Military District, is appointed Camp Com-
mandant, Cambridge Military Camp, and is granted the
temporary rank of Major with pay and allowances of
a Captain while so employed. Dated 14th June, 1941.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) C. P. Harper relinquishes the
appointment of Chief Instructor, Mechanical Transport
Section, Mobilization Camp, Papakura, is appointed
District Mechanical Transport Technical Officer, Northern
Military District, and retains the temporary rank of
Captain while so employed. Dated 24th June, 1941.
Captain W. S. Hopping relinquishes the appointment of
Company Commander, No. 2 Training Battalion,
Mobilization Camp, Papakura, and is appointed
Mechanical Transport Instructor, Mobilization Camp,
Papakura. Dated 24th June, 1941.
Lieutenant H. Jones relinquishes the appointment of
Assistant District Mechanical Transport Technical
Officer, Northern Military District, and is appointed
District Workshops Officer. Northern Military District.
Dated 24th June, 1941.
Lieutenant C. N. Mitchell is granted the temporary rank
of Captain while holding the appointment of Company
Commander, No. 2. Training Battalion, Mobilization
Camp, Trentham. Dated 3rd July, 1941.
Captain S. C. Hay relinquishes the appointment of
Assistant Area Officer, No. 1. Area, Auckland, and is
appointed Assistant Officer, “A” Duties, Northern
Military District, Auckland. Dated 7th July, 1941.
Lieutenant A. D. Sinclair ceases to be posted for duty
with “A” Company, N.Z. Regular Force, dated 20th
May, 1941, and is appointed Assistant Area Officer,
No. 1 Area, Auckland, dated 21st May, 1941.
Lieutenant A. D. Sinclair is granted the temporary rank
of Captain. Dated 7th July, 1941.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 52, dated 19th June, 1941, relative to the
appointment of Lieutenant and Quartermaster L. P.
Kavanagh, 1st Battalion, National Military Reserve,
for “Dated 13th October, 1939,” substitute “Dated 1st
September, 1940.”
Norman Leslie Tyler to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is
appointed Area Quartermaster, No. 6 Area, Wanganui.
Dated 1st July, 1941.
Lieutenant (temp,) J. Beaver, 21st Light Aid Detachment,
N.Z. Ordnance Corps, to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is
appointed Area Mechanical Transport Officer, Northern
Military District. Dated 2nd July, 1941.
Lieutenant and Quartermaster K. M. Hickson relinquishes
the appointment of Quartermaster, Guards, Vital Points,
Wellington, and is appointed Quartermaster, No. 5 Area,
Wellington, vice Lieutenant and Quartermaster A. E.
Sharp, N.Z. Permanent Staff. Dated 26th May, 1941.
Lieutenant (2nd Lieutenant (temp.), 1st Field Company,
Corps of N.Z. Engineers) J. W. L. McCormack,
M.Inst.H.E. (Eng.), A.M.N.Z.I.E., relinquishes his
appointment in the N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 8th
July, 1941.
