Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Clinton) Order 1941.

PURSUANT to the Oil Fuel Retail Hours Emergency Regulations (No. 2) 1940, and pursuant to a requisition in writing received in that behalf, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby direct as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Clinton) Order 1941.

  2. This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged in the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate within the Town District of Clinton.

  3. This Order shall come into force on the 21st day of July, 1941.

  4. On and after the coming into force of this Order all such establishments shall be closed for the sale of oil fuel for the whole of every Sunday and shall be opened for the sale of oil fuel on every Friday from 8 a.m. till 9 p.m. and on every Saturday from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m., and closed at all other times on every Friday and Saturday, and shall on every other day of the week be opened for the sale of oil fuel from 8 a.m. till 5.30 p.m. and closed at all other times on the said respective days.

  5. Nothing in this Order shall affect the supplying to any person on the written authority of an officer of Police of oil fuel that may be urgently required while the above-mentioned establishments are closed in pursuance of this Order.

Declaring Places to be Prohibited Places under the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939.

PURSUANT to the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Defence doth hereby declare the places specified in the Schedule hereto to be prohibited places for the purposes of the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939.


SCHEDULE.

SOMES ISLAND.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being an island in Port Nicholson Harbour called Somes Island. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 14, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

MILITARY RESERVE, POINT DORSET.

All those areas in the City of Wellington, being military reserves set apart by Orders in Council published in New Zealand Gazette, 1929, pages 62 and 1051, and part Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 6560, being a subdivision of part Section 17, Watts Peninsula District. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 15, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red and marked “A.”

MILITARY RESERVE AT PALMER HEAD.

All those areas in the City of Wellington, being an original military reserve adjacent to Palmer Head; also parts of Sections 14, 15, 18, Watts Peninsula District, set apart for defence purposes by Proclamation 2402, Wellington Register, and including the adjoining and intersecting road from Breaker Bay to Evans Bay between barriers where Guard Posts are established. As the same are more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 16, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

MILITARY RESERVE ADJACENT TO POINT HALSWELL.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, being parts of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Watts Peninsula District, being Military Reserve and Massey Memorial Site; also Section 20, Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, being Scorching Bay Domain; together with the adjoining road along the foreshore of Port Nicholson Harbour from Shelly Bay to Scorching Bay. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 17, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

AREA AT MOUNT VICTORIA.

All that area in the City of Wellington, being parts of Section 2 on Deposited Plans 8174 and 8574, and certificate of title, Vol. 442, folio 245, Wellington Registry; Mount Victoria Signal Station Reserve; parts Wellington Town Belt on Deposited Plans 8519 and 8835, and part Wellington College Reserve in certificate of title, Vol. 478, folio 235: Bounded, commencing at New Victoria Trig. Station along a right line to a point on the north-western side of Alexandra Road, opposite the intersection of the north-eastern side of Hepara Street with the south-eastern side of Alexandra Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Alexandra Road to a point in line with the north-western side of Hapua Street; thence south-westerly along a right line to and along the north-western side of Hapua Street and its production for a total distance of approximately 58½ chains; thence along a line bearing 312° 45′ to the eastern boundary of the Wellington Hospital Reserve; thence along a right line to the north-eastern corner of the said Hospital Reserve; thence along the northern boundary of the said Hospital Reserve for a distance of approximately 7½ chains; thence along a right line bearing 17° 30′ for a distance of approximately 28½ chains; thence north-easterly along a right line to the south-western corner of Mount Victoria Signal Station Reserve; thence along the western and northern boundaries of Mount Victoria Signal Station Reserve to Tonga Road; and thence along a right line to New Victoria Trig. Station, the point of commencement: including all intersecting streets and footways. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 18, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

AREA AT BROOKLYN.

All that area in the City of Wellington situated on the eastern side of Karepa Street, being Lots 1, 3, 4, and part Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 9392, being parts of Section 11, Ohira District. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 19, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

AREA AT WADESTOWN.

All that area in the City of Wellington, being part of Wellington Town Belt on Deposited Plan 8709: Bounded towards the north by the northern boundary of the said Town Belt; towards the south-east by a line parallel to and distant 10 chains from Weld Street for a distance of approximately 27½ chains; towards the south-west by a right line to the northernmost corner of Tinakori North Block and towards the north-west generally by the south-eastern boundary of Lot 9 on Deposited Plan 9473 and the south-eastern side of Weld Street. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 20, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red and marked “C.”

AREA AT TINAKORI WIRELESS STATION.

All that area in the City of Wellington, being Tinakori South Block (Wireless Telegraph Station-site). As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 20, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red and marked “D.”

AREA AT BEACON HILL SIGNAL STATION.

All that area in the City of Wellington, being parts of Section 17, Watts Peninsula District, and known as the Beacon Hill Signal Station. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 15, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red and marked “B.”

AREA AT SINCLAIR HEAD.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, Makara County, being part Rimurapa Native Reserve (Defence Land). As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 21, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

AREA AT TITAHİ BAY WIRELESS STATION.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, Makara County, being part College Reserve, Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, shown in Deposited Plan 10900. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Army P.P. 22, 205/3/1, deposited at Army Headquarters at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
