Exempting Crown Lands in the Nelson Land District from certain Provisions of the Mining Act, 1926.

PURSUANT to section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the lands described in the Schedule hereto from the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) of section sixty-six of the Mining Act, 1926.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL Crown lands within Blocks I and II, Waitapu Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 17th day of June, 1941.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange and has agreed to pay to the Crown a sum of money by way of equality of exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule upon payment by the owner thereof of the sum of money hereinbefore referred to by way of equality of exchange.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
North Auckland Land District.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 77 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Section 32, Block V, Whangape Survey District (subject to a right-of-way one chain wide), and Section 30, Block V, Whangape Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/91/34A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 31033L.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
North Auckland Land District.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 54 acres 1 rood 38 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 29727, being parts Whakarapa 61B and 62 Blocks. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/91/34A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of June, 1941.
