Appointment of Directors of State Advances Corporation of

New Zealand.
Office of Minister in Charge of State
Advances Corporation of New Zealand,
Wellington, 18th June, 1941.

It is notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by section 9 of the State
Advances Corporation Act, 1936, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, has appointed

David Barnes, Esquire,
to be a Director of the State Advances Corporation of New
Zealand, to hold office during pleasure, such appointment to
take effect on and from the 1st day of January, 1941.

George Arthur Lewin, Esquire, C.M.G.,
to be a Director of the said Corporation, to hold office during
pleasure, such appointment to take effect on and from the
1st day of July, 1941.

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Appointment

of Member of Armed Forces Appeal Board.
National Service Department,
Wellington, 20th June, 1941.

His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers vested in him by the
National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, has been
pleased to appoint Harry Hodgson a member of No. 6 Armed
Forces Appeal Board, with headquarters at Dunedin, in place
of Bertrand Stanislaus Connor, resigned; and to appoint
Joseph Albert Beck to be the deputy of Harry Hodgson
aforesaid; such persons to hold office during pleasure.

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to confirm the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, and relinquishments of temporary rank and com-
missions of officers on active service with the 2nd New
Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas, vide List No. 24 :

APPOINTMENTS.

Commands and Staff.

Lieutenant-Colonel C. S. J. Duff, N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes
command of the 7th Anti-tank Regiment, and is appointed
to command the Artillery Training Regiment. Dated
14th May, 1941.

Major T. H. E. Oakes, M.C., N.Z. Artillery, is appointed
to command the 7th Anti-tank Regiment. Dated
14th May, 1941.

Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) K. W. R. Glasgow, N.Z.
Artillery, is appointed to command the 14th Light
Anti-aircraft Regiment. Dated 14th May, 1941.

Major W. H. Alexander, 18th (Auckland) Battalion, is
appointed Assistant Adjutant-General, 2nd Echelon, and
remains seconded. Dated 12th May, 1941.

Captain (temp. Major) F. C. Rawle relinquishes command
of the 36th Survey Battery. Dated 13th April, 1941.

Captain H. E. Crosse, N.Z. Engineers, is appointed Deputy
Assistant Adjutant-General, 2nd Echelon, and is seconded.
Dated 12th May, 1941.

Captain J. R. Stevens-Jordan, N.Z. Artillery, is appointed
to command the 36th Survey Battery. Dated 13th
April, 1941.

Lieutenant G. E. Hartnell, 31st (Auckland) Battalion, is
attached to the 2nd Echelon, and is seconded. Dated
21st April, 1941.
