Crown Land and Reserve set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land and reserves described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, Marlborough and Sounds Counties, estimated to contain 9,567 acres, more or less (Crown land, 14 acres, and part of a reserve for the growth and preservation of timber—section 66, Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies’ Empowering Act, 1915—9,553 acres), situated in Blocks I, II, V, and VI, Tennyson Survey District, and Block III, IV, and VII, Wakamarina Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point on the State forest boundary (Gazette 1881, page 959), situated 9000 links due south of Editor Hill; thence in a northerly direction by the State forest boundary to its intersection with a right line from McLaren’s Peak to Sub. Trig. X; thence easterly to Sub. Trig. X, 3300 links; thence generally in a southerly direction by the boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, and Section 7, Block V, and Crown land, Block I, Tennyson Survey District, 23056 links, by Small Grazing Run No. 37, 4000 links and 8900 links, by Sections 13 and 12, Block I, Tennyson Survey District, 9676·8 links, 4728·4 links, and 5339·8 links, and by Section 2, Block IV, Wakamarina Survey District, 9592·4 links; thence northerly by Section 4, Block IV aforesaid, 7369·1 links; thence again southerly by Section 4 aforesaid, 6755·2 links and 10024·6 links, by Section 4, Block VIII, Wakamarina Survey District, 6115·9 links, and by Lot 1 of Section 1, and Lot 1 of Section 3, Block VII, Wakamarina Survey District, 6921 links and 10783·6 links; thence generally in a northerly direction by Section 4, Block VII, aforesaid, 1637·1 links (provisional State forest, Gazette 1937, page 2067), by State forests (Gazette 1886, page 1092, and Gazette 1934, page 2845), and Section 1, Block III, Wakamarina Survey District, 17850·4 links, by Section 12, Block III aforesaid, 7073 links, by a public road, 100 links and 400 links, by the Kaiuma Stream, by Lot 2 of Section 3 (State forest, Gazette 1940, page 2265), Block III aforesaid, 1500 links and 3365·8 links, by Lot 3 of Section 8, Block III aforesaid, 8727·7 links, by Section 14, Block III aforesaid, and a public road 6011·9 links, by the Tunapai Stream, by Section 13, Block III aforesaid, 2,466·2 links, by Lot 1 of Section 8, Block III aforesaid, 3,547·8 links and 550 links, by a State forest (Gazette 1886, page 1092) 3700 links, by Crown land 200 links and 1270 links, by a road one chain wide along the Staghorn Stream, by the said road and Section 1, Block II, Tennyson Survey District, 4450 links, by Section 8, Block II aforesaid, 13072·3 links, and by Section 7, Block II aforesaid, 4,534·1 links and 2924·3 links; thence generally in a western direction by Section 7 aforesaid, 4075·2 links, 2690·4 links, 565 links, and 2293·3 links, by Lot 1 of Section 5, Block II aforesaid, 1632·9 links, and by a State forest (Gazette 1886, page 1052), 9700 links, to the point of commencement; be all the aforesaid measurements more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 104/29, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of June, 1941.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 2382, Town of New Plymouth: Area, 2 roods 14·2 perches, more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 34·7 perches, more or less, comprising parts of Sections 564, 565, 590, 591, 817, 821, and 822, Town of New Plymouth. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2502/B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of June, 1941.

Declaring Crown Land to be subject to Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936.

A PROCLAMATION.

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1939, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land situate in Block X, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, and known as Te Teko A, Section 5 Block, containing 25 acres 0 roods 5 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1941.
