These sections, situated about one mile from the Kaitieke Township, are suitable for mixed farming, but being rough broken hilly country the land is more suitable for an adjoining owner than for occupation as separate farming units. The soil is pumice resting on light loam, papa, and clay formation; well watered by springs and creek. Large areas have reverted to manuka, and the country is liable to ragwort infestation.
