CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Town Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up till 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 28th July, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 30th July, 1941, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.

Borough of Levin.—Township of Levin.

D.P. 2234, being parts Section 1, Block XI, Township of Levin.

These are good level building sections. Lot 1 is situated at the corner of Queen and Chamberlain Streets; Lot 2 fronts Queen Street; Lots 5 to 10 front Chamberlain Street; and Lot 16 fronts Salisbury Street. All borough facilities are available.

Makara County.—Porirua District.

Lot 4, D.P. 1976, being part Section 44, Porirua District: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £150; half-yearly rent, £3 15s. Situated on the Old Porirua Road (now Oxford Street), in the Township of Tawa Flat, adjacent to the Tawa Flat Railway-station. Section comprises a good flat building-site. The Porirua Stream runs through the back of the section.

Applicants are required to produce evidence of their financial position and farming experience.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
