Officers authorized to attest Signatures of Natives to Instruments under Chattels Transfer Act, 1924.

P URSUANT to section 547 of the Native Land Act, 1931, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices set out after their respective names, are authorized to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section 547, the signatures of Natives to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act, 1924.

Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland, Wellington Canterbury, Otago, and Southland Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 57, Block V, Hohoura East Survey District : Area, 5 acres 0 roods 32 perches, more or less. (Recreation.)
Sections 1 and 2, Block II, Ruakaka Survey District : Area, 4 acres 2 roods 22 perches, more or less. (Native-school site, Takahiwai.)
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 38·85 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Waipukurau, being part Block 16, Waipukurau Crown Grant District, and being all the land marked " Reserve " on Survey Office plan 1918, red. (Recreation.)
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 4059, Blocks XII and XVI, Rangiora Survey District : Area, 182 acres 3 roods 33 perches, more or less.
Also part Reserve 4060, Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District, containing by admeasurement 67 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, and bounded as follows : Towards the north by Beach Road 1812·6 links, towards the east by the road reserved along the sea coast 3797·8 links, towards the south by other part of Reserve 4060, 1773·8 links, and towards the west by Rescrve 3658, 3767·0 links.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/75/11A, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Recreation.)
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
SECTIONS 37 and 1541R, Block I, Town of Ranfurly : Area, 13 acres 2 roods 29·9 perches, more or less. (Aerodrome.)
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 64, Block V, Wyndham Survey District : Area, 27·4 perches, more or less. (Addition to a public-school site, Glenham.)
