Declaring Portions of Road in Block VI, Puniu Survey District, to be Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of May, 1941.

Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road declared to be Government road:—

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 2 26·4} Parts Allotment 322, Mangapiko Parish;
0 2 24·1} coloured green.

Situated in Block VI, Puniu Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29712.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 100657, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Revoking the Declaration of Main Highways and declaring Public Highways to be Main Highways.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of May, 1941.

Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, the portions of main highways described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be main highways and that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be a main highway within the meaning and for the purpose of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and doth further declare that on and after the date of publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette the road described in the Third Schedule shall be a main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Main Highways Act, 1922.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 1.

Dargaville—Maungaturoto.—All that portion of the Dargaville—Maungaturoto Main Highway in the Otamatea County, commencing at a point opposite the south-eastern corner of part Section 31, Block XV, Tokatoka Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction to the junction of Dunn’s and Access Roads, and thence generally in a south-easterly direction to a point opposite approximately the mid-point of the south-western boundary of Section 43, Block XV, Tokatoka Survey District, being a distance of 30 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 111076, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

HIGHWAYS DISTRICT No. 9.

Masterton—Wellington.—All that portion of the Masterton—Wellington Main Highway in the Lower Hutt City, commencing at a point 3 chains north of its junction with Park Avenue and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at its junction with Cemetery Road, being a distance of 57 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 110873, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Lower Hutt — Eastbourne.—All that main highway in the Hutt County, declared as the Lower Hutt — Eastbourne Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 14th January, 1932, and published in the Gazette on 21st January, 1932.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 1.

Dargaville—Maungaturoto.—All that road or portion of road in the Otamatea County, commencing at a point opposite the south-eastern corner of part Section 31, Block XV, Tokatoka Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction to a point opposite approximately the mid-point of the south-western boundary of Section 43, Block XV, Tokatoka Survey District, being a distance of 21 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 111076, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

THIRD SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 9.

Johnsonville—Newlands.—All that street or portion of street in the Town District of Johnsonville commencing at a point on Petherick Crescent opposite the Johnsonville Overbridge and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction and terminating at its junction with the Wellington—Pāekakariki Centennial Main Highway, being a distance of 6 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108423, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured burnt sienna and bordered yellow.

Change of Name of Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in me by the War Funds Emergency Regulations 1941, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that as on and from the date of publication hereof in the Gazette the name of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association, incorporated pursuant to section twelve of the War Funds Act, 1915, shall be and is hereby declared to be changed to the Auckland Veterans’ Home Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 14th day of May, 1941.

John Wyndham Brindlecombe

to be the Official Member of the Maori Council for the Taranaki Maori District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 16th day of May, 1941.
