THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT (CITY OF WELLINGTON’S OWN).
Lieutenant A. H. Thom, 1st Cadet Battalion, is granted the
temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st March, 1941.
Lieutenant A. W. Griffin, 1st Cadet Battalion, is granted
the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 2nd March, 1941.
Jack Galloway Green to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is
posted to the 3rd Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st April,
1940.
THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
Captain G. Burns, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), Area 10. Dated 1st
May, 1941.

MacDonnell, 4th Cadet Battalion, is confirmed.

Eric Roy Lange, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant, is attached
to the 2nd Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (Countess

Horace Webster Nash, M.B., Ch.B., to be Lieutenant,
Central Military District (unattached), and is granted the
temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st May, 1941.
Kenneth Malcolm McDonald to be Lieutenant (temp.), and
is posted to the 13th Field Ambulance as Quartermaster.

Bruce Howard Neil Thomson to be Lieutenant (temp.),

to approve of the following promotion and appoint-
ments of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force :—
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH.
Promotion.
Wing Commander Maurice William Buckley, M.B.E., to
be Group Captain (temp.). Dated 1st April, 1941.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND SPECIAL DUTIES BRANCH.
Cancellation.
The notices appearing on page 978 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 33 of 17th April, 1941, referring to the under-
mentioned, are hereby cancelled and the following sub-
stituted :—
Appointments.
Roy Champion Kean, A.M.I.Mech.E., A.F.R.Ae.S., M.I.E.I.,
relinquishes his appointment as Controller of Aero-
nautical Inspection in the Aeronautical Inspection
Division of the Air Department, and is appointed to the
R.N.Z.A.F. as Director of Aeronautical Production,
with the rank of Squadron Leader (temp.), Acting Wing
Commander. Dated 24th March, 1941.
Ernest Francis Carpenter, A.F.R.Ae.S., relinquishes his
appointment as Assistant Chief Inspector in the Aero-
nautical Inspection Division of the Air Department, and
is appointed to the R.N.Z.A.F. as Senior Aeronautical
Inspector with the rank of Squadron Leader (temp.), at
such special rate of pay as may be prescribed by the Air
Board. Dated 24th March, 1941.
The following Inspectors in the Air Department are
appointed to the R.N.Z.A.F. as Inspectors with the rank of
Flying Officer (temp.), Acting Flight Lieutenant, at such
special rates of pay as may be prescribed by the Air Board.
