The Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939.—
Appointment of Emergency Disputes Committee.

IN pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred upon
me by the Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations
1939, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby
appoint the following persons to be an Emergency Disputes
Committee, and refer to that Committee a dispute which has
arisen between Blackwater Mines, Limited, and the Inangahua
Gold and Coal Miners’ Industrial Union of Workers:—

Notice under Regulation 4 of the Import Certificates Emergency
Regulations 1939.

Office of the Minister of Customs,
Wellington, 14th May, 1941.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Import Certificates
Emergency Regulations 1939 I hereby give notice as
follows:—

  1. The notification under the said regulations bearing date
    the 20th day of December, 1939, and published in the Gazette
    on the same day at page 3551 except the Schedule thereto
    is withdrawn.

  2. The Import Certificates Emergency Regulations 1939
    shall not apply to the goods specified in the Schedule to the
    aforesaid notification bearing date the 20th day of December,
    1939, if such goods are imported into New Zealand from any
    neutral country in Europe.

  3. The Import Certificates Emergency Regulations 1939
    shall not apply to the goods specified in the Schedule hereto
    if such goods are imported into New Zealand from either of
    the countries of Iran and Iraq.

Classification of Roads in Waimea County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the
Heavy Motor-vehicles Regulations 1940, the Minister of
Transport does hereby revoke, in so far as it relates to the
classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto,
and situated in the Waimea County, the Warrant classifying
roads in the Waimea County, dated the 10th day of June,
1931, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 46 of the
11th day of June, 1931, and does hereby alter the Waimea
County Council’s proposed classification and proposed
alteration in classification of the roads described in the
Schedule hereto and situated in the Waimea County, and
does hereby approve such classification and altered classifica-
tion as set forth in the said Schedule.
