Setting apart Unalienated Crown Land for Purposes of Part III (State Coal-mines) of the Coal-mines Act, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection one of section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part III of the said Act, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the gazetting hereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of unalienated Crown land in the Westland Land District containing 1 rood, more or less, being Section 1, Block XL, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in the Borough of Runanga. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked N. 6/4/17, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Mines at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 7th day of May, 1941.

Declaring Crown Land in Auckland Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the “said land”) is Crown land not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but is adjacent to certain lands acquired under the said Act, and known as the Karapiro Settlement and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the Auckland District Land Board, do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act to the intent that it shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Karapiro Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.

SECTION 20, Block IX, Cambridge Survey District: Area, 1 rood 26·2 perches.

Declaring Crown Land in the Canterbury Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the “said land”) is Crown land not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but is adjacent to certain land acquired under the said Act, and known as the Landsdown Settlement and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the Canterbury District Land Board, do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that it shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Landsdown Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Auckland Land District for other Land.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owners of the land described in the Second Schedule have agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
Auckland Land District.
Lot 9 (formerly part Lot 1), Block II, Te Kuiti Native Township: Area, 14·6 perches, more or less.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
Auckland Land District.
Lots 7 and 8 (formerly closed streets, Proclamation No. 10507), Block II, Te Kuiti Native Township: Area, 18·6 perches, more or less.
