Election of Members of Fire Boards by Insurance Companies.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 29th April, 1941.
PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, the Fire Brigades Amendment Act, 1932, and the rules made thereunder, it is hereby notified that an election by the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand of members of the undermentioned Fire Boards will be held on Monday, the 26th day of May, 1941, in the manner prescribed by the said Acts and rules. The number of members to be elected in the case of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board and of the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board shall be four. In the case of Wanganui, Wellington, and Christchurch Fire Boards, the number shall be three, and in all others two members :—

Rangitaiki Drainage District.—Penalty on Overdue Rates.
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 21st April, 1941.
IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that ten per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1941, unpaid on 14th May, 1941.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office, or to the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the Native land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Waihi-Pukawa Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land in the Aotea Native Land Court District, situate in Blocks IX and X, Puketi Survey District, containing 10 acres, more or less, and known as the Turumakina School Reserve, being part of Tokaanu B 2 as defined on W.D. plan 3632, deposited in the District Lands and Survey Department, Wellington.
