DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE partnership hitherto existing between JOHN WILLIAM ALFRED COOPER and ARTHUR BOYLE in the business of Motor-engineers, and carried on at No. 27 Rutland Street, Auckland, under the style or firm of “Cooper and Boyle,” has been dissolved as from the date hereof.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP ROADS.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Masterton County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to close the roads set out in the Schedule hereto: And notice is hereby further given that a plan, duly certified by the Chief Surveyor, of the roads so to be closed is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situate at Chapel Street, Masterton, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the closing of such roads or any of them who have any objections to the closing of such roads or any of them must state their objections in writing and lodge the same on or before the 16th day of May, 1941, at the aforesaid office.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand,
Canterbury District.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of NISBET HOUSE, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court dated the 27th day of March, 1941, confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £10,000 to £5,000, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statute, were registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 4th day of April, 1941. The said minute is in the words and figures following:—

“That the capital of the company be reduced from £10,000 divided into 10,000 shares of £1 each to £5,000 divided into 10,000 shares of 10s. each, and that such reduction be effected by repaying to all shareholders the sum of 10s. per share.

“It is further resolved that the seal of the company be affixed to the petition to the Court for an order confirming such reduction.”

THE NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RETICULATION LOAN, 1940, £50,000.

Resolution making Special Rate.

THE following resolution was passed at a meeting of the North Auckland Electric-power Board held on the 10th day of April, 1941:—

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the North Auckland Electric-Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the North Auckland Electric-Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for the benefit of the constituent districts of Hobson County, Whangarei County, Otamatea County, Dargaville Borough, and Hikurangi Town, within the North Auckland Electric-power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its amendments, and in particular but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers to erect and construct additions and extensions to the present system of electrical distribution and reticulation, to purchase plant, land-easements, general equipment, and any existing electrical installations and plant, to erect buildings, and to make provision for financial assistance to consumers and for trading purposes, as provided by the said Act, the said the North Auckland Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-fortieths of a penny (11/40d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the aforesaid constituent districts of Hobson County, Whangarei County, Otamatea County, Dargaville Borough, and Hikurangi Town, comprising the whole of the North Auckland Electric-Power District as constituted prior to the inclusion therein of the Kamo Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN LIQUIDATION.

Members’ Voluntary Winding up.

In the matter of HASTINGS MODERN STEAM LAUNDRY AND BAGWASH COMPANY, LIMITED (in Liquidation).

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that the following special resolution was duly passed by entry in the minute-book on 5th day of April, 1941:—

“That the company, for the reason that it has disposed of its business, be wound up voluntarily; such winding up to be a members’ voluntary winding up, and that Mr. ROBERT DOUGLAS BROWN be appointed liquidator of the company.”

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1941, £3,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, or as much thereof as shall be required, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Waipawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-eighth of one penny (1/38d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Waipawa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waipawa County Council held on the 7th day of April, 1941.
