WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings), authorized to be raised by Waimate West County Council under the above-mentioned Act, the said Waimate West County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·08888 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property within the County of Waimate West, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 9th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify the above to be a true and correct copy of resolution passed by the Waimate West County Council at a meeting held on the 12th day of March, 1941.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of MACRAEBURN MINING COMPANY, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above-named company held at the registered office, A.M.P. Buildings, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 31st day of March, 1941, the following extraordinary resolution was passed :—
“ That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
“ That FRANCIS RICHARD THOMPSON, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”
All persons or companies having claims against the above-named company are required to send full particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the 30th day of April, 1941, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION.
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council under the above-mentioned Act and the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments, for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth of one penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable properties in the County of Cook; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3 per cent.
