Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Warrant approving the Provision of Additional Indication of the Presence and Position of Authorized Pedestrian-crossings.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Pedestrian-crossing and Safety-zone Regulations 1939, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve the provision by any controlling authority of additional indication of the presence and position of any authorized pedestrian-crossing by the device described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

An amber or yellow coloured sphere 11 in. in diameter, placed in a position surmounting the post or pole which is required to indicate the presence and position of an authorized pedestrian-crossing in terms of the said regulation.

Notice of Intention to take Land for Housing Purposes in the Edendale Town District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Edendale and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood.
Being Lot 57, D.P. 106, Township of Edendale, being part Section 42, Block I, Mataura Hundred (Edendale Town District) (Southland R.D.). (S.O. 5551.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 110377, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Gore and is there open for inspection: and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
