HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, on the 4th day of December, 1941, been pleased, in pursuance of subsection (7) of section 2 of the Meat-export Control Act, 1921–22, to appoint—
Frederick Campbell Johnstone
to be a representative of the producers of meat for export on the New Zealand Meat-producers’ Board established under the said Act, vice Harry Ernest Worsp, deceased.

The Board of Trade (Gas) Regulations 1924, and Amending Regulations 1926.
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by clause 27 of the Board of Trade (Gas) Regulations 1924, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan, Minister of Industries and Commerce, do hereby make additions to the Schedule set out in the said regulations by adding thereto the companies whose names are set out in the following Schedule; and do hereby declare that such additions shall come into force, and the Board of Trade (Gas) Regulations 1924, and Amending Regulations 1926, shall apply to the said companies on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

The Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1941.
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 4 of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 1, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan, Minister of Supply and Munitions, hereby give notice and direct as follows :—

This notice may be cited as the Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1941.

All persons in New Zealand who on Sunday, 14th December, 1941, had in their possession or control, or on order by them, any new or used tires or tubes, not affixed to a vehicle as part of the normal equipment thereof, are required to furnish in writing to the Secretary of Supply, Wellington, information and particulars in relation thereto, as set out hereunder namely :—
In respect to each different specification of tire or tube—
(a) Quantity.
(b) Size, according to usual trade description.
(c) Quality or grade, according to usual trade description, showing separately : (i) standard ; (ii) heavy duty ; (iii) other types.
(d) Vehicle for which suitable, showing separately : (i) car ; (ii) truck ; (iii) other types.
(e) Estimate as to condition, showing separately : (i) new ; (ii) used but serviceable ; (iii) used but serviceable when retreaded ; (iv) used and useless.
(f) Name of manufacturer and country of origin.
The information and particulars as to tires and tubes respectively are to be set out on separate schedules.

The information and particulars set out in clause 2 hereof are required to be delivered to, or placed in the post addressed to the Secretary of Supply, Ministry of Supply and Munitions, Government Life Insurance Buildings, Wellington C.1, on or before 12 noon on Wednesday, 17th December.

No person shall remove or cause or permit to be removed any new or used tires or tubes not affixed to a vehicle as part of the normal equipment thereof until 31st January, 1942, or until the removal of such tires or tubes is permitted in writing by the Secretary of Supply.

This notice shall not apply to tires or tubes suitable only for use on push-bicycles.

The Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1941, No. 2.
PURSUANT to the Munitions Emergency Regulations 1941, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan, Minister of Supply, do hereby give notice as follows :—

As from the date of this notice I declare all tires and tubes for motor-vehicles of every description to be munitions for the purpose of the Munitions Emergency Regulations 1941.

This notice may be cited as the Tires and Tubes Control Notice 1941, No. 2.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.
