Lieutenant A. W. Wesney, 26th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while acting as second in command of a Company. Dated 28th September, 1941.
Lieutenant J. P. Cook, 26th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while acting as second in command of a Company. Dated 18th October, 1941.

RELINQUISHMENTS OF TEMPORARY RANK.

STAFF.
George Lyttelton Laurensen is appointed Controller of Oil Fuel and Motor-vehicles, and is granted the honorary rank of Colonel. Dated 20th November, 1941,
Lieutenant B. F. Sceats, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Assistant Instructor (Junior Leaders’ Wing), Armoured Fighting Vehicles School, Waiouru. Dated 15th September, 1941.
N.Z. STAFF CORPS.
Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) A. H. L. Sugden relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on being seconded to the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 24th November, 1941.
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Major G. H. Gray, M.C., V.D., relinquishes the appointment of second in command, No. 4 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Trentham, and is appointed Officer Commanding, No. 3 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 29th October, 1941.
Lieutenant K. G. Chamberlain, Assistant Area Officer, Area No. 6, Palmerston North, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 19th November, 1941.
Captain and Quartermaster L. J. Daley, 2nd Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (C.R.O.), to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, No. 2 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 20th November, 1941.
Lieutenant C. C. Moss relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, No. 4 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Trentham, and is appointed Adjutant, No. 3 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 28th October, 1941.
Lieutenant F. G. Tucker relinquishes the appointment of Assistant District Supply Officer, Northern Military District, and is appointed Assistant Supply Officer, Northern Military District. Dated 17th November, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant E. Taylor relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Supply Officer, Northern Military District, and is appointed Assistant District Supply Officer, Northern Military District. Dated 17th November, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant J. R. Simpson, Quartermaster, Guards, Vital Points, Central Military District, Wellington, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 7th November, 1941.
QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) D. L. Broome relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain, and is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 1st November, 1941.
THE OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major W. R. Christie is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 11. Dated 16th November, 1941.
N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Hon. Captain (Bandmaster) G. L. Buckley, V.D., relinquishes his appointment in the N.Z. Temporary Staff, and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 1st December, 1941.
Lieutenant H. E. Solomon, from the Reserve of Officers, The Canterbury Regiment, to be Lieutenant (temp.), with seniority from 1st August, 1941, and is posted to the 5th Battery, 3rd Field Regiment. Dated 31st October, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant (temp.) M. W. Hursthouse, 81st Heavy Battery, 11th Heavy Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 17th October, 1941.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Ian Walmsley McKinnon, A.M.I.C.E., to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 7th (Works) Company. Dated 17th October, 1941.
THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.
Lieutenant O. S. Steverson, from the Ruahine Regiment, to be Lieutenant, and is posted to the 1st Battalion, with seniority from 1st September, 1941, next below Lieutenant B. C. Barwick. Dated 1st September, 1941.
THE RUAHINE REGIMENT.
Lieutenant O. S. Steverson, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Wellington West Coast Regiment. Dated 1st September, 1941.
