Captain J. A. Speer relinquishes his commission on appointment to a commission in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve. Dated 12th November, 1941.
OFFICERS STRUCK OFF THE STRENGTH OF THE 2ND N.Z. EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82, dated 16th October, 1941, relative to Captain G. R. Kingston, M.D., F.R.C.S. (Edin.), N.Z. Medical Corps, for “Dated 13th October, 1941,” substitute “Dated 15th October, 1941.”
Lieutenant (late Captain, 2nd N.Z.E.F.) M. Greville, M.B., Ch.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, is struck off the strength of the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, dated 17th November, 1941, and is posted to the N.Z. Temporary Staff with the rank of Captain (temp.), for duty at Mobilization Camp, Papakura, dated 18th November, 1941.
The undermentioned officers are struck off the strength of the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and are posted to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List :—

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :—
N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.
Captain R. A. I. Reid, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, The Waikato Mounted Rifles, Hamilton, and is appointed Adjutant and Quartermaster, 8th Field Ambulance. Dated 1st November, 1940.
Captain G. P. Leane, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, Northern Military District School of Instruction, Narrow Neck, and is appointed Company Commander, No. 3 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 6th November, 1941.
Lieutenant (late Captain, 2nd N.Z.E.F.) C. G. Stewart, M.C., Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Captain (temp.), and is appointed Company Commander, No. 2 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 3rd November, 1941.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. J. Knox, M.C., 4th Battalion, National Military Reserve, to be Captain (temp.), and is appointed Adjutant, No. 3 Training Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Trentham, vice Captain R. L. Forrest. Dated 19th November, 1941.
Lieutenant K. Ramsden relinquishes the appointment of Company Commander, No. 2 Training Battalion, and is appointed Chief Instructor, Army Service Corps, Mobilization Camp, Trentham. Dated 24th September, 1941.
Lieutenant K. Ramsden, Chief Instructor, Army Service Corps, Mobilization Camp, Trentham, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st December, 1941.
Harry Harper Ekins to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Officer in Charge, Ammunition Magazines and Repair Depot. Dated 26th November, 1941.
Lieutenant A. A. McConnell, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Company Commander, 2nd Infantry Battalion, Mobilization Camp, Papakura, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 3rd December, 1941.
William Barbour Moon to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Area Quartermaster, Area No. 3, Whangarei. Dated 2nd December, 1941.
QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant A. H. Revell is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st October, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) E. S. B. Bridger relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 10th November, 1941.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 94, dated 20th November, 1941, relative to the appointment of Herbert John Hayman, for “Dated 1st October, 1924,” substitute “Dated 1st October, 1941.”

Stuart Arnold Skeet to be 2nd Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.). Dated 1st November, 1941.

Lieutenant T. P. L. Reaney, 37th Battery, 12th Field Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 22nd October, 1941.
Lieutenant (temp.) A. M. Duncum, 37th Battery, 12th Field Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 22nd October, 1941.
James William Broadley to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 82nd Heavy Battery, 11th Heavy Regiment. Dated 1st November, 1941.
James Francis Frew to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 8th Medium Battery, 8th Medium Regiment. Dated 18th November, 1941.
Roy Lambert Walker, to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 7th Medium Battery, 8th Medium Regiment. Dated 20th November, 1941.
Desmond Herbert Gladding to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 7th Medium Battery, 8th Medium Regiment. Dated 20th November, 1941.
Alexander Thomas Heron to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) and is posted to the 74th Heavy Battery, 10th Heavy Regiment. Dated 2nd December, 1941.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Lieutenant (temp.) P. L. Laing, 4th (Works) Company, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 26th November, 1941.
N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.
Michael Joseph Philpott to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 2nd Signals Company. Dated 1st October, 1941.
THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).
2nd Lieutenant (temp.) F. C. Platt, 3rd Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 11th October, 1941.

Eric Basil Dean to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 28th November, 1941.

Lieutenant R. G. G. Dalglisb, 3rd Cadet Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st December, 1941.
2nd Lieutenant (temp.) E. W. Mills, 3rd Cadet Battalion is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st December, 1941.
THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant A. S. McWhinnie, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Taranaki Regiment. Dated 27th November, 1941.
THE TARANAKI REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant A. S. McWhinnie from the Wellington West Coast Regiment to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 1st Battalion, with seniority from 1st November, 1938. Dated 27th November, 1941.
NATIONAL MILITARY RESERVE.
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) J. W. Dawson, 3rd Company (Whangaroa), relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st December, 1941.
