Member appointed to Orari Gorge Scenic Board.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of that month, the control of a certain reserve in the Canterbury Land District, known as the Orari Gorge Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Orari Gorge Scenic Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908: And whereas it is desirable that John Mather Polhill should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of Robert Yates, deceased:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint the said

John Mather Polhill

to be a member of the Orari Gorge Scenic Board constituted by the Warrant dated the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Robert Yates.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and fifty-nine of the Land Act, 1924, and section seventy-one of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland, Auckland, and Hawke's Bay Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified in the said Schedule.
