Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Whakatane, Auckland Land District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of September, 1940.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a mechanics’ institute:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a site for a mechanics’ institute to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Taumarunui and Rangaroa Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Taumarunui and Rangaroa Domain Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Mayfield Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the sixteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Pavilion, Mayfield, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
