CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Drainage Loan, 1940, No. 1, £5,700.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of five thousand seven hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of deepening Wilderness Drain and supporting the sides with concrete slabs and other incidental works in the Subdistrict of Rural Spreydon, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three sixty-fourths of a penny (3/64d.) in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Subdistrict of Rural Spreydon as defined under the provisions of section 44, Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1907; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

J. W. Smeaton and Co., 152 High Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 30th day of August, at 10.30 a.m.
