Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from T. Tulloch, Wellington, for permission to extend the scope of his Industrial Fishing License in respect of the 45 ft. 55 h.p. vessel “Tern” so as to include the use of trawl-nets in waters south of Cape Turnagain, and in Cook Strait and adjacent waters, with the exception of trawling in Cloudy Bay within the limits of a line drawn from Cape Campbell to Robin Hood Point.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry in respect of this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 29th August, 1940.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

Lands in the Auckland Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and license of the undermentioned lands, having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Lands in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 20th August, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 7th October, 1940.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 9th October, 1940, at 10-30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.

NOTE.—These sections are offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessees, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.
